A country chic wedding in Apulia: a celebration of swing, history, and timeless elegance at Masseria Palesi

In June, the vineyard and centuries-old oak trees paint the landscape of Masseria Palesi in vibrant shades of green. Summer is, in fact, an especially beautiful time to celebrate a wedding here: nature welcomes guests and provides a stunning backdrop for every moment of the celebration. It is a true tribute to life, joy, and carefree happiness.

The expansive outdoor spaces, together with the historical significance and authentic charm of the Masseria’s elegant manor house, immediately captivate guests, inviting them to celebrate life, beauty, and the pleasure of living in the moment.

Located in Martina Franca, in the heart of the Itria Valley, Masseria Palesi preserves a variety of unique spaces, each with its own distinctive character: the largest paved courtyard in Apulia, the historic gateway that has become the symbol of the estate, the enchanting Baroque courtyard, revealed to guests only when the couple opens the ancient entrance door, and the vineyard, which reflects the Masseria’s agricultural heritage and commitment to sustainability.

Throughout the event, these spaces are unveiled gradually, allowing guests to experience a sense of wonder and fascination with every change of setting.

Within this remarkable setting, in June 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting the wedding of Graziana and Domenico.

A vintage Volkswagen Beetle convertible, the lively rhythm of swing music, and a refined palette of white and powder blue set the scene for a country chic celebration designed by Lori Campana Events. Every detail reflected understated elegance and sophistication, perfectly mirroring the style of the beautiful bride, Graziana. Adding to the unique atmosphere were two exceptional live bands, Spaghetti Brothers and Terraross, whose performances filled the celebration with energy, charm, and unforgettable moments.

After the ceremony at the Basilica of San Martino in Martina Franca, Graziana and Domenico made their way to Masseria Palesi. Their arrival at the estate aboard a vintage Volkswagen Beetle, accompanied by the lively sounds of Spaghetti Brothers, marked the beginning of a celebration that, much like their grand entrance, was both joyful and elegant, with a distinctive vintage flair.

The rhythms of swing music, inspired by the great American big bands of the first half of the twentieth century, set the tone for the festivities in the estate’s expansive paved courtyard. Here, traditional Apulian food stalls welcomed guests with a carefully curated selection of local specialties, showcasing the exceptional quality and rich culinary heritage for which Puglia is renowned.

Masseria Palesi offers countless picturesque settings and hidden corners that provide the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. These unique spaces were masterfully captured by the talented Apulian photographer Vins Massaro, who beautifully documented not only the elegance of the couple but also the love, joy, and warmth that surrounded them throughout the day.

Amid the historical charm of the estate and the vibrant greenery of the vineyard rows, the story of this special day became intertwined with the agricultural heritage of the Masseria itself. The organic vineyard of Cantine Palesi holds a particularly meaningful connection to the celebration: the grapes grown here are transformed into the estate’s organic wines, which the bride and groom, together with their guests, later enjoyed throughout the event, raising a glass to a day filled with beauty, tradition, and unforgettable memories.

Graziana wore a lace gown with a Mikado overskirt by Maria Calella Spose, while Domenico opted for a classic black tuxedo. The bride’s look was completed by the elegant makeup artistry of Claudia Palazzo and the sophisticated hairstyling of Backstage Parrucchieri, creating a refined and harmonious ensemble that perfectly reflected the timeless elegance of the celebration.

The aperitif and its live cooking stations brought the spirit of a traditional village festival to the courtyard: a convivial and relaxed experience, thoughtfully curated in every detail and set amidst nature and history. It was an opportunity to engage guests, making them feel not just part of the celebration, but true protagonists of the day.

Catering for the event was entrusted to Sovrano Eventi Banqueting & Catering, while Joe Bar Catering provided the bar service. Together, they played an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and enhancing the pleasure of sharing special moments with family and friends. Their contribution became part of a carefully designed celebration where, as always, the rhythm of the event was just as important as every other detail, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience from beginning to end.

Graziana and Domenico themselves marked the transition to dinner. Opening the gateway to the courtyard has become a cherished tradition at the Masseria. As gracious hosts, because on that day the estate truly becomes their home, the newlyweds opened the ancient gate and invited their guests to enter the courtyard and take their seats for dinner. It was a thoughtful gesture and a powerful symbol of hospitality, warmth, and affection towards their family and friends.

The courtyard hosted the most intimate part of the celebration without sacrificing any of its vibrant energy. As with all true Italian weddings, guests delighted in dancing between courses, turning dinner into an experience filled with joy and spontaneity.

The authentic elegance of the courtyard, combined with the romantic atmosphere created by flowers and candlelight, provided a breathtaking setting for the celebration. It became the perfect backdrop to the happiness, laughter, and unforgettable moments shared by the couple and their guests throughout the evening.

Here, the long rectangular tables echoed the country chic inspiration that defined the wedding design. Created by Lori Campana Events, the styling project combined crisp white tones with delicate shades of powder blue, while peonies and hydrangeas took center stage in the floral arrangements. Soft candlelight and an elegant tablescape completed the setting, creating a refined and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the timeless charm of the Baroque courtyard.

Graziana and Domenico were a thoughtful and discerning couple who, together with their wedding planner, dedicated great care and energy to creating an immersive and authentically Apulian experience for their guests. Throughout the celebration, every detail was designed to reflect the spirit, traditions, and warm hospitality of Apulia.

During dinner, the infectious energy of Terraross captivated everyone, drawing guests onto the dance floor and into the vibrant rhythms of traditional Apulian music. Their performance transformed the evening into a joyful celebration of local culture, filling the courtyard with music, movement, and shared moments of happiness that brought guests together and made the atmosphere truly unforgettable.

After dinner, guests moved to a new area of the estate to dance to the vibrant rhythms of pizzica salentina performed by Terraross. The swing melodies of the Spaghetti Brothers were joined by another musical soul, one deeply rooted in the local culture and in Apulia’s unique way of celebrating.

In front of the Masseria’s façade, a stunning champagne tower set the stage for the wedding toast. An elegant setting, framed by the estate’s historic gateway and majestic façade, provided the perfect backdrop for this special moment. The elegance and beauty of the newlyweds, together with the bride’s remarkable and daring outfit change, made the cake-cutting ceremony truly magical. Surrounded by a romantic atmosphere and the timeless charm of the Masseria, the celebration unfolded in a scene of unforgettable beauty, creating one of the most memorable moments of the entire day.

For the final part of the celebration, Graziana embraced a stunning change of look. The Mikado overskirt was removed, revealing the elegance of her lace gown, which she paired with a matching lace bolero. Her hairstyle was also transformed into a sophisticated chignon, completing a refined and graceful look that perfectly suited the evening’s more intimate and festive atmosphere.
